Women are rising.
It’s time to be heard.
This isn’t political. This isn’t liberal vs. conservative, blue vs. red, traditional vs. progressive.
This is rage. This is centuries of the patriarchy forcing unnatural control over the inherent nature of humans - the INSTINCT to be social, to trust, to care for one another, to protect children - beyond familial bounds and beyond societal expectations.
This is core. This is true human nature. And women are screaming. So let’s do it together.
The Plan:
Every 28 days, where ever you are, take your time and go into the street and scream.
More organizational details to come - the hope is to start July 4th (the birth of our nation) and every 28 days after that.
Who we do it for:
Every woman who has been told their body is shameful and has cut her legs shaving, spent her money buying concealer, bruised her ribs wearing restrictive garments, changed her appearance not for herself, but because she thinks it will make others appreciate her more.
Every woman who has been whistled at on the street, groped at the club, received unwanted dick pics, has had their photos used against them, interrupted in the conference room, or told their dreams don’t matter.
Every woman who has been dismissed by medical professionals who say it’s not that painful, or that big of a deal, or heard the message “We don’t know why, that’s just the way it is.”
Every woman who is sick and had to ask her partner to feed the kids, only to be asked what to feed them and wake up the next morning, exhausted in sweat soaked sheets from the fever she fought, only to find the sink filled with unwashed dishes from the night before.
Every woman who has woken up one day to find her partner is a complete stranger to them and left her abandoned with no resources. Who has had to fight every month for child support, who has carefully chosen words in front of their children to protect the belief in their father, who is different from the man you thought you knew.
Every woman who has been violently assaulted or killed at the hands of a friend, lover, partner or man who wouldn’t take “no” for an answer.
Every woman who has been isolated from the very community that will lift her up and support her.
OURSELVES.
Howling .. is used as a social rally call.
A howl can even help a lost wolf find its way home. A wolf separated from its pack uses a “lonesome howl” — a shortened call that rises in pitch. If answered, the wolf then responds with deep, even howls to inform the pack of its location.

This terminology arose from research done on captive wolf packs in the mid-20th century—but captive packs are nothing like wild ones. When keeping wolves in captivity, humans typically throw together adult animals with no shared kinship. In these cases, a dominance hierarchy arises, but it’s the animal equivalent of what might happen in a human prison, not the way wolves behave when they are left to their own devices.
